USA Part One

For those of you who don't know my wife Christy and I have embarked on a 2 month trip around the United States of America.

We Started or journey from London's Gatwick airport where we caught our flight to Los Angeles via Cleveland. As Cleveland was our first port of call in the US we had to clear customs which took a little longer than expected. We must of looked dodgy because they decided to keep us back until they had cleared everybody else and then let us go through. This made catching our connecting flight to LA a little tight but we made it just in time despite thinking our gate was C12 rather than C21.

By the time we got to LA we didn't know what time of day it was but we did know that we were both exhausted and in desperate need of a shower. We had to wait a few hours in a rather disappointing LAX for our lift to a friends house. When we did eventually get to our bed that night we both collapsed into a deep sleep only to wake up a few hours later wide awake at 5 am LA time.

As we were both still fairly jet lagged we spent the first day in LA on the beach. Our host in LA kindly lent us their car for the day so we decided to go down to Sunset beach a Little south of where we were staying. This afforded me my first driving experience in the US which was fairly interesting. I don't think I did too bad but Christy was rather bemused with me muttering “keep right, keep right” to myself constantly.

Times run out (sorry)! Will post more soon… Also haven't been able to post any pictures but will hopefully soon.
