USA Part Three

This unfortunatly is going to have to be quick as we only have a limited time here.

I think we left off camping Big Sur last time. Well we decided to take a break from driving the next day so we stayed on at Gabe's campsite for another day which we spent mostly lying on the beach.

We left early on Sunday morning and continued North on Highway 1 towards San Francisco. Unfortunatly at that time of day the sea mist is pretty thick along the highway so we couldnt see much of the view but the little we did see was amazing.

We got to SF about 11am and decided to strech our legs in the Golden Gate park which was very cool. Although we did spend most of or time wandering around the Botanical Garden's looking for the Western Cape section hoping to see some Fynbos but we never did manage to find it.

Next walked over the Golden Gate bridge which was fairly spectacular although that pescky fog was still hanging around so our view was once again fairly limited. Nevetheless the bridge itself is pretty awe inspiring.

Wandered around town for the rest of the day. Went and had Pizza in a cool little place in North Beach and then spent the evening browsing The City Lights Book Store (First Paper back Book Store in the US and former hangout of Jack and Co). Spent the next day in town (which Christy spent most of eating free salt water taffy which consisted of every possible flavour under the sun including the mind boggling popcorn flavour??). Went to a very cool Veggie returant for dinner called Greens next to a dock with a view of the sun setting behind the GG bridge.

Next time on Rycatprojects.org: Giant trees in the Redwood Forest, 9 Hours of car hell and Portland Oregon.

(No pictures at the moment due to the lack of facilities, sorry)
